Several types of glass are available. The selection is specifically related to the solarium model. Do you want it for three or four seasons, an independent room or a solarium opening onto the house, a northern or southern exposure, a location in a more or less northern area?  This investigation will determine the type of glass that can provide the desired comfort.

Regardless of whether it is double or triple-glazed, the roof’s exterior glass is always tempered for safety reasons. Clear, tinted or reflective glass on the roof with an overlap system to counter water infiltration. Clear or tinted glass on the contour, energy efficient with argon gas throughout the solarium to ensure greater comfort.  Unlike walls, glass allows the sun’s rays to stream into the house, ensuring a free energy source in winter. For harmony, tiles can be integrated between the glazed walls.

Glazing: Three seasons

Single glazing is always tempered and 5 mm thick to support snow loads during the winter.

Tempered glass is an industry requirement. Clear, tinted and reflective glass are used to ensure greater comfort.

Unlike walls, glass lets the sun’s rays stream in to hasten and extend the summer season.
